Dukkah is best known as a dip for bread with olive oil, but is now increasingly used as an ingredient in cooking. This Aromatic Dukkah is a beautiful fragrant blend of 11 ingredients with fresh nuts, herbs and spices including almonds, pistachios, roasted sesame seeds, coriander and fennel. A lovely accompaniment with fish.
Dukkah has a long tradition in the Middle East and Africa as a meal for camel drivers who would roast crushed spices, nuts and seeds over a small fire, dip bread in olive oil and then into the mixture.
Serve as a dip with crusty bread and a fine olive oil, or use with meats, fish or vegetables.
